The Olympic Preparation Scholarships Awards Ceremony was held on the premises of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, last week in Athens. Since 1999 the A.G. Leventis Foundation has offered over 400 Olympic Preparation Scholarships providing athletes from Greece and Cyprus the opportunity to devote themselves to the preparation for the next Olympic Games.

This year The Hellenic Initiative joined this cause, together with the John.S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, helping 43 athletes in total prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

That is part of a 4-year pledge for The Hellenic Initiative, having committed a total of $200,000.
