A new grant of $150,000 to the Together for Children Association, aiming at providing essential care to children and families in need!

The Hellenic Initiative – TΗΙ announces a new grant of $1500,000 to the “Together for Children” Association. THI’s new grant will fundamentally support the work of the Association, funding and supporting 10 programs for the period May 2017 to April 2018.


This new grant aims at providing essential care and support to children and families in need, and is part of THI’s crisis relief initiatives, fundamentally answering the call by vulnerable social groups and all those hardest hit by the crisis.

Since January 2014 to October 2016, through THI’s grants to “Together for Children” and its member organizations, a total of 21 programs have been implemented, benefiting a total of 40,547 children and 27,775 families. All programs implemented by “Together for Children” and its member associations, focus on actions against poverty, sickness relief, the support of children with disabilities and the provision of psychological support to children and families in need.

Michael Printzos, THI’s Program Director, stated:
“Our new grant to the Association “Together for Children”, underlines our commitment to consistently support entities, whose work has a positive impact. We are very proud of the results of our support to the association, and we look forward into making the difference for more children and families in need”.

Christos Bartsocas, President of the Association “Together for Children” and Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics, added:
“The Hellenic Initiative is an important supporter of our efforts as it has substantially contributed to improving the quality of life of more than 40,000 children and their families, while enabling us to help even more children”.
