“Wherever Greeks go around the world, we feel connected. It demonstrates a responsibility we have to one another. My Greek identity has always instilled a sense of pride both in me and my family. I know where I come from and have a culture I embrace. It is a culture that is rich in history, traditions and wisdom and one that deserves our help in protecting for generations to come.

Today, Greece is at a major crossroads and it is organizations like The Hellenic Initiative that are working to help our beloved patrida not only survive this crisis but emerge stronger because of it. THI is there supporting charities to meet the needs of the Greek people today while looking to what is needed for a bright tomorrow. A tomorrow that can be created not by the “lost generation” but by the entrepreneurs who out of crisis find opportunity. Programs focused on entrepreneurship, mentorship and unselfish support such as the Venture Fair in Athens demonstrate this vision that I share in supporting those who choose to build new enterprise in Greece. It is why I am proud to be a supporter of The Hellenic Initiative.

Thank you to all who help The Hellenic Initiative achieve their mission and help support the Hellenic Republic today for a better tomorrow.”

This year, The Hellenic Initiative funded three Greek tech startups to participate in the Accelerate Greece program and Eureka Fest 2018:

  • Pulse and Opinion, a startup providing innovative digital strategy services, communication and consulting.
  • Biocos a company offering Bioinformatics solutions in the applied and basic research field.
  • JoinCargo an online shipping platform were the companies attending this year’s program with all their traveling and lodging expenses covered.
