 Athens, March 10, 2015

The Hellenic Initiative (THI) is again a proud sponsor of the International Accelerator booth at SXSW® Interactive, which opens on March 13, 2015, in Austin, Texas (USA). The booth will host thirty-one people representing twenty-two promising Greek startups. These startups will have the opportunity to demonstrate their products and services on an international stage at one of the most cutting-edge technology and entrepreneur events in the world. This will be the largest group of Greek startups participating in an international startup event.

This is the second year THI is helping sponsor Greek companies to participate in the SXSW® Interactive.  Last year, THI, in partnership and with assistance from the Libra Group, sponsored sixteen Greek startups, three of which secured more than $6 million in funding following their attendance at SXSW.

THI’s ongoing support of Greek startups at SXSW® is based on its strong belief that entrepreneurship is a key element in building a new generation of viable and innovative business projects that can contribute to Greece’s future prosperity.

The Greek startups participating at this year’s event represent a variety of fields ranging from art and culture to technology products and services. The participating Greek startups this year include:
